Paul Danis
Founder and Principal
Paul Danis is the Founder and Principal of Eastwoods Consulting, providing leadership to life science companies on the commercialization and marketing of new technologies, the establishment of new partnerships, and guidance on mergers and acquisitions. He has spent over 20 years in the life science and instrumentation marketplace, working with emerging as well as established companies and technologies.
Prior to founding Eastwoods Consulting, he was Director at Applied Biosystems, responsible for strategic direction and operation of the Proteomics Systems business. During his time at Applied Biosystems he advanced the business to a leadership position in the $20B life science marketplace. As Senior Manager of the instrumentation products at Perseptive Biosystems he brought several novel application platforms to the market, fueling the growth of the company.
Additionally Dr. Danis has extensive scientific experience from his role as Group Leader at Rohm and Haas Research Laboratories, as Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Basel, Switzerland, and as Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has held leadership positions with The WPI Venture Forum, the Society of Professional Consultants and the MIT Enterprise Forum, and is currently active in a number of Professional and Scientific Organizations. Dr. Danis has a Ph.D. from Cornell University in Analytical and Physical Chemistry and has published over 25 scientific papers.
